On February 12, 2004, Scott founded Blue Flower Productions, Inc., a company dedicated to the noble purpose of using cinema’s immediacy and scope to enrapture the world with enthusiasm for the life of the mind. With his background in physiology and philosophy, he is well aware of the eye-popping vitality of the former and the cultural isolation of the latter. One day it occurred to him that, by serving as a juncture for these two realms, cinematic spectacle can re-vitalize philosophy, awakening it from its postmodern slumber. Conversely, the ultra-absorbing, all-encompassing power of film can and must capture the excitement of philosophy’s great subject, the unveiling of the loftiest aspirations of which the soul is capable.
